This month we look at stretching our calves!
Our poor calves often get more than ‘put to the test’ with all the walking that we do. Our fashion footwear can also place stress upon this area of the body, especially heels. Non optimal calf activity can lead to many problems including plantar fascia pain, stress fractures and even hamstring tears.
This handout has some useful stretches that can be done throughout the day to give some mobility, fluid and a sense of normal movement back to your calf complex.
There is also a foam roller/ball option that can be done while relaxing in front of Netflix !
